Road Rambles
March 31, 2005Well another day another dollar…seventy five cents…ok maybe fifty cents but that’s about it. Still out on the road but now I am back in good old California but still a few hundred miles away from home. I was talking it over with the lovely and gracious MrsV today and I think I will run through most of the weekend maybe that way I can take a couple of days off when the little devil girl comes back over…beside we are broke and need the money.I am having serious internet withdrawals because I am having a hard time finding free wifi connections so I can upload my blog post or a few photos but o’ well I will make do. There are a few truck stops that have them but I just can’t afford the fee right now.Other than helping a van load of Russian tourist whose radiator cracked going over Grants Pass my day was rather dull and uneventful. The guy driving the van was a Russian who lived in Seattle and he was driving some Russian performer to San Francisco who was going to do a concert sometime on the 1st. I guess he is rather famous in his art or among Russians but I really did not know. The performer was so awestruck with the Oregon seanry and the shear size of my rig he wanted to take pictures of it and have me pose with him while his co heart from Seattle took pictures of us. I really could not understand a word he said and it was kind of awkward but I helped get them on their way so they could make it to Yreka and get a regular mechanic to fix their problem. So old Johnny boy Cochran took a dirt nap; Seems like he was suffering from a brain tumor. Despite what you think of him you have to laugh at his arrogance and admire the fact that he got a stone cold killer off of a murder charge. I just wonder of his brain tumor wasn’t a little divine payback. Perhaps he will find out “who the real killer is” when he pulls his chair up next to God for a little one on one. Or maybe he is just warming up a chair in hell for O.J., you just can’t help but wonder if he really believed that O.J. was innocent or not.Now that Terry Shaivo is dead regardless of where you stand; it is still unfortunate I wonder what will be next. I seriously doubt her husband or her parents are done with their court battles. I imagine their will be a wrongful death suit and other civil litigation in regards to the movie and book rights. The whole thing is just sad and tragic and really should have never morphed into the circus that it did.The Minutemen start their patrolling of our southern border tomorrow and I personally believe they are a fine bunch of patriots and I wish I could support them more than just throwing them kudos. It is really sad that George Bush as dropped the ball on illegal immigration and I do believe it may be the downfall of his administration or perhaps the Republican control over both houses. Immigration is a hot issue and whoever comes along first and takes it on or at least throws down some serious smack talk about it will pull a large voting block regardless of political party. The whole immigration thing is just what a third party needs to really get some momentum.Vincente Fox is nothing more than a gangster and is putting some of the Mexican army (now I would almost like to see what they look like) along his part of the border to intimidate the Minutemen. He is also trying to circumvent U.S. soventry and law by pushing open borders and hindering U.S. immigration policy in his appeal to the world court. Both Vincente Fox and George Bush are two dumb asses if not criminal in their neglect for U.S. safety. The U.S, Mexican border is a week and vulnerable point to our nation’s safety and Bush seems more interested in political pandering …figures…that is why I will never vote for a for either of the main two political parties again. They are both inept and incapable of real reform.Home away from home...Yea Right The Dumby Seat... White stuff... Icey stuff... No time to stop...

From The Road
March 29, 2005Well I have finished my 2nd day in my return to my old profession and hear I sit plugging away on a lap top. I have not been online in a couple of days and I can feel the withdrawal. Man it sure is amazing what technology can do to get us addicted, as long as I have my ipod and it stays charged I can do ok.Well my second day was rather uneventful just a lot of great views from the windshield. I have a rather time sensitive load and Mother Nature was being a bit temperamental so I did not get to stop and absorb much of it. Their was a time running over the Siskiyou mountain pass that I afraid I was going to have to pull over and throw some iron (cool trucker slang for putting chains on) On the note of trucker slang; that was something I did not miss the last couple of years. I guess the log book laws changed somewhat since I have last been out hear so hopefully I don’t screw up and get myself a ticket.I have seen every form of weather today which kept me in my truck and on the move because I sort of screwed up and did not bring enough blankets so I did not want to get stuck somewhere and have to bed down for a couple of days. Kind of reminds me of a story from a couple of years ago where I got snowed in and stuck in a shitty rest stop outside of Chicago but another time. Anyway I am somewhere in Washington near a town called Vader and I drop tomorrow In Tacoma and hope to start heading home for a couple of days off.My first day was a bit more eventful and really reminded me of the reasons while I quit trucking and went back to college to begin with (a lot of good it did because hear I am again) It started when I got to the yard and the battery was dead on the rig, looking back it could have been an omen. But regardless of the battery I got a jump start and headed on my trip with just enough time to make my pick up on time. About 30 minutes from the yard and still about 75 miles until I reached my pick up I get a quall com message to turn around and come back to the yard. It appeared as if DHL lost my drug test somewhere in route to the cooperate office. So I had to come back and take another one of course now making me late to my pick up therefore putting me on the bottom of the list for trucks to be loaded. The only bright side of it was knowing that somewhere out there is a bottle of my urine in a DHL bag. I would love to be the fly on the wall when someone finally gets it and opens it...So I finally make my pick up and I am only two hours late but after a little sweet talking to the shipper I managed to get my load in under a half an hour which was dam good but the old saying one step forward two steps back…I sprained my ankle getting out of the truck after I pulled away from the dock to close my doors. So finally sprained ankle and all with the doors closed and my paper work done I leave the shit hole town of Maricopa Ca and head to Tacoma WA. I am happily trucking up I5 (in the middle of a windstorm…just one more thing on the heap) When I keep hearing something slapping against the truck so when I pull over to investigate it I realize that the header lights have a shielded wire that is hanging down but it is nothing that a little duct tape and tucking back under the header can’t fix. But when I open the hood to position myself up on the tire so I can fix the wire…sill with sprained ankle; I notice the oil filler cap has vibrated off and I am spilling oil. Yes the joys of trucking….So I baby it to a truck stop and purchase more oil and filler cap with the usual profit gouging and anal ass fucking by the truck stop with their obscene mark up. But it is all money the company will reimburse if I turn in the receipt. But as I was getting back in the truck with receipt in hand it blew out and went under another trailer of course parked over a mud puddle…so into the mud I went.So finally fixed and on my way I had to drive to the lovely hour of midnight after starting my day at seven a.m. so I could stay on schedule. Log book my ass….So after only two days back on the road I can some it up my stating that IT SUCKS ASS!!! And I hate it. I have tried to quite truck driving twice before once to pursue fame and fortune and once to achieve higher education and both times I swore I would never come back and yet hear I am.While driving was good to me at one time it is defiantly not where I want to be in life right now so my only hope is this is a temporary set back. While I have my lap top I have not been able to get to a wireless connection. So I am not sure when I can upload this to my great blog we have all come to love. But I will be checking in when I can and all you out in blog land can keep your fingers crossed for me that this endeavor back into my old profession is only temporary and I will soon find a job where I can use that fancy new (and expensive) degree.

An Oldy but a Goody
I am not big on repeat post but back in November I posted my opinions, actually it was more of a rant on where I stood on hot topic issues. Because of the increased readership (3,000 plus since Dec 23), comments, links to other sites, and a few emails I thought I would post it again. They are pretty straight forward and to the point and will give readers a bit of insight on where I am coming from in my rants. My opinionsI have some opinions that many would consider being highly liberal, and even MORE that may be considered conservative, or even reactionary. The philosophy I subscribe to, the political ideology I am most aligned to is Libertarian. But my brand of libertarianism isn't considered by most Libertarians to be true and correct. Well, screw them.Rather than label myself one way or another let me give you a list of some of the things I believe in and let the chips fall where they may.First off….. I didn't like the Bush tax cuts. Because they didn't go nearly far enough! I believe the money I earn belongs to me, not some government agency.I hate the IRS and don't believe in federal or state income tax on individuals.I believe in the death penalty. Bush did that shit the right way down there Texas and did not wasit time with those fuckers. Despite what any liberal bed wetter says it IS a deterrent. Once you push that needle into the arm of some creep that killed some little kid or poor family, you can bet that person wont ever hurt anyone ever again! How's that for a deterrent?I also think that punishment should be used to deal with child molesters, and rapists.I believe that hiring a person based on the color of their skin is a wrong thing, so if hiring someone based on the color of their skin is a bad thing, what exactly would you call affirmative action? When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in areas where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling, it is the Law of Probability.I think entitlement programs such as welfare are a scourge on society. I don't want my tax dollars used to pay for you to sit on your lazy butt and watch the Cartoon Network all damn day. Put down the crack pipe and get a job.I think what you do behind closed doors, in the privacy of your own home is your business, so long as you're not hurting anyone, you sick freak. If your a homosexual, that's perfectly fine with me. Live and let live is what I always say. AND if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is an opinion. And speaking of sex, I know what sex is and enjoy it and don't really give a shit who else enjoys it, espicailly presidents. I am sure Bill was'nt the first to get a blow job in the oval office and probably won't be the last. More power to the guy and FYI Monica was not that bad looking.I believe any self-righteous liberal OR conservative with a cause is more dangerous than a Hell's Angel with an attitude.I believe Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that's better, and put your stinking name on the building.I believe marijuana should be legalized NOW. Like it or not IT'S HARMLESS. And besides if we taxed the stuff we would eliminate the need for the income taxes and abolish those pinheads at the IRS......in fact I think ALL drugs should be legal. Probation didn't work 70 years ago and it's not working now. And if you wanna kill yourself on heroin, meth or cocain that's your right, so go ahead, and decrease the surplus population.I am sick of Political Correctness. I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa; so how can they be African-Americans? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, grandfather was from Europe. HEY, I am proud to be from America and nowhere else!I don't like the United Nations, or any left wing Anti-American nation, and I don't give a hoot in HELL what the rest of the world thinks of me.I believe Afghanistan and Iraq were a good start. But let's not stop there. I think we should go into Iran and Syria next and kick some more Anti-American Muslim ASS.I believe that if some suicide bomber Islamic terrorist attacks the United States, and kills innocent people, we should do just like the Colombian Mafia does. If you tick them off they don't just kill you, they kill your whole family. I kind of like the way the Israelis do it. When they ID the bombers they go to their house and bulldoze it.I've got no problem with adult entertainment. Magazines, movies, strip clubs, whatever. I'm not offended by porno, and you'll get mine when you pry my cold dead fingers off my VCR, or whatever my cold dead fingers happen to be wrapped around at the time.I don't believe the Rebel flag or a picture of an Indain used as a mascot is a symbol of racism, and if you find it offensive I'll remind you that there's nothing in the constitution guaranteeing you the right not to be offended. So I suggest you GET OVER IT.I like wearing leather, and I think animal experimentation saves human lives, and most of all, I like to eat the succulent, flame kissed flesh of dead animals. You see if God had intended us to be vegetarians, he wouldn't have made meat taste so good. Yummy...........And by the way, I hate PETA. Wanna really help animals? Join the ASPCA.I believe owning a gun doesn't make you a killer, it makes you a smart American. But I despise the NRA and think they went way overboard with their fiasco after the Columbine shootings! .....oh yeah, and as much as I despise bumper-sticker philosophy, it's true.. "If you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns." Period, Paragraph, End of story.I smoke cigarettes, and if you don't like that, find another seat at the bar!I believe being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does not entitle you to a one damn thing!......and the same goes for being a woman by the way.I believe in free speach but there is nothing in the constitution that garantees you have the right to be heard or even the right for me to listen.Reality T.V. sucks ass and is more proff that the average population is fucking stupied.I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, or renting me a video cassette try to do it in ENGLISH, OK!I hate liberal, non logic thinking, gutless mamby pamby, chicken boned, babyfide trumpet monkeys.I also hate sanctimonious, self serving, conservatives pushing their idea of family values down my throat. I have my own set of family values thank you very much.I think fireworks should be legal on the 4th of July, and any other day of the year. While I am personally opposed to the idea of abortion, I do believe in a woman's right to choose, it's her body, and it should be between her and God. It's none of mine or YOUR business. BUT because I believe in equal protection under the law I also believe in a mans right to choose. If he doesn't want the kid he shouldn't be forced to pay child support. If a woman can choose why can't a man? Humm? If she chooses to MURDER her baby than fine, but don't force a man to pay child support for a child he would choose to let LIVE but doesn't want to father. Hey! What's good for the goose...Oh yeah, speaking of which 80% of men ordered to pay child support pay it, while only 20% of women ordered to pay child support do. Now you tell me, who's the DEADBEAT again?I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God whenever and wherever they want to.I've never owned a slave, nor was I ever a slave and guess what, NEITHER WERE YOU!! So, SHUT-THE-HELL-UP already, you're not getting one thin dime out of this dude. While I'm thinking about it can anyone tell me which church is it exactly where the Reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson practice, where they get their money, and why are they always part of the problem and never the solution?I believe that the military should be patrolling our borders. And I think, that if you sneak across the border from Mexico you're not an "undocumented worker" you're an ILLEGAL ALIEN! If you want to become an American do it the way my great, great, great, Grandfather did, or get out of the country and go the heck back where you came from.I believe in law and order, I respect the police. They have one of the tuffest jobs on earth. I think the cops have every right to shoot your sorry butt if you're running from them. I also think they have the right to pull you over if you're breaking the law, regardless of what color you are......and if you punch him or otherwise assault him he's got every right to slam your fat head into the trunk of his squad car …….. more than once!I believe if you are too old or too stupid to know how a ballot works, I don't want you deciding who should be running the most powerful nation in the world for the next four years.I hate those chowderheads standing in the intersections trying to sell me crap or trying to guilt me into making "donations" to their cause. I view these people as targets.I believe that it doesn't take a village to raise a child, it only takes two parents. My heroes are as follows.... John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, everyone on the declaration of Indepence, JFK becasue he banged Marlyin Monroe, Ron Jeramy becasue he banged lots of hot gals, Jenna Jamison and Christy Cannon for helping me through puberty, John Lennon, Hugh Heffner, Martin Luther King Jr., Howard Stern, Sonny Barger (The Hells Angles), Neil Young, Frank Zappa, Nirvana, Bill Manders, my Mom, the spice channal, and whoever canceled Rosie O'Donnel.Like it or not I'm proud to be an American. And by God I'll fight for her! This is the greatest nation on earth and Americans are the finest people alive. There's too many dead bodies on too many battlefields all over the world through our history to allow the continued erosion of our personal liberties in this country. There you have it. Just a few of the things I believe in. Maybe you think I'm a huge jerk because of what I've said but I could care less. Maybe you feel the same way. Maybe, just maybe we've found some common ground. Sorry about the repeat post I don't do it often.

Bush is Clueless On Immigration
George Bush is out of his flippin mind. He has been so inept about immigration that it is pretty much a flamboyant slap in the face to any of his anti-terrorism policies. So he was down in Mexico basically sucking up to Vincente Fox, and for the life of me I am have no idea why. I used to think he was just pandering for the Hispanic vote but being how he is a lame duck I am really not to sure what the fuck he is doing. Perhaps as usual in politics, it is all about the oil. He is most assured a victory when it comes to the drilling for oil in Alaska but most people neglect to realize that it will only account for about 5% of our total oil and will not be noticeable for another five years. But it's a start and a good one at that. But back to my point Bush is down in Mexico no doubt pandering for something and he states that he opposed the Minuteman Project. Which is basically a bunch of civilians that will monitor the movement of illegal aliens for the month of April and report them to the Border Patrol. If nothing more it is a symbolic protest to Bush's blindness when it comes to Real immigration reform. They are not going to apprehend them or cause them harm they are just going to report their movements to the proper legal authority which is the United States Border Patrol. He went on to characterized the Minuteman Project as "vigilantes." He also went on to state that he is going to "continue to push for reasonable, common-sense immigration policy." Putting it mildly their is not a dam thing that Bush has done in regards to immigration that has been reasonable or remotely close to common-sense. He has been criticized by both Republicans and Democrats earlier this month for failing to add 2,000 agents to the Border Patrol, as set out in the intelligence overhaul legislation he signed in December. In fact the president's 2006 budget allows enough money to add only 210 agents for the U.S. borders with Canada and Mexico. 210 agents would do little to suffice the amount of agents needed for the United States and Canada border let alone the Untied States and Mexico border. Also in his "reasonable, common-sense" approach to immigration policy he has proposed legislation to grant guest-worker status to millions of illegal aliens already in the United States. This is just a blatent pandering move which will most assuredly amount to nothing more than an amnesty program and perhaps lead to more illegal immigration. The simple fact is that Bush just does not get it when it comes to immigration. If he continues to think that Mexico is a continual allie of the United States then he is dummer than I already thought. It does not to a brain surgeon to realize that Illegal immigration is the number 2 revenue generator for Mexico. Mr. Fox can not afford to try and prevent immigration from his country and he is a staunch supporter for an open border. He has applied constant pressure on Bush throughout his first term to get the guest-worker program through Congress. All the while Mr. Fox has said that his country is dedicated to making sure border crossings are legal and orderly. "We discussed the issue of border crossings and how we can protect our borders and be efficient along the border."Well then according to Vincente Fox that must mean having your fledgling government produce a 57 page booklet on how to cross into America and "blend end" and only devote two paragraphs on the legal process of obtaining the correct paper work to cross legaly.Vincente Fox is not an allie of the United States when it comes to illegal immigration, he has done nothing and made it known he will do nothing other than "ra ra feel good" speaches and photo ops. He has continued to push for relaxing immigration policies instead of taking the bull head on and doing some real immigration reform in his country. Bush on the other had, instead of taking the hard line approach with illegal immigration has done nothing more than a few meaningless gestures and continues to ignore a part of his base that could quite possibly stay home and give the election to the democrates in 08.Sadly the reality is that we may very well be attacked hear on U.S. soil once again. That attack could be monumental in proportions to any previous attempt or attack; and if that is the case and it is shown that our attackers came through the Mexican border then regardless of Bush's accomplishments he will go down as a failed president. He needs to quit is pathitic pandering to Vincente Fox who is most deffiantly not an allie of the United States and do what is best for our country.

If you want to get personal....
This is in response to Bear and his comments in on March 23.So you come over to my Blog (which I know is public) then you proceed to insult me by belittling my education and calling me a moron.First of all I m not a professional writer and I have never professed to be. My self proclaimed perfection is nothing more than cynicism. I am sure you know what that word means taking into consideration you intellectual supremacy.I have read your Blog and while I’ll admit I could not find any spelling errors your content dull, rather lame and somewhat amateurish; once again taking into consideration your intellectual superiority. If it makes you feel good to surf others Blog’s and criticize them or even insult the writers then so be it. It probably makes up for some pathetic inadequacy that overwhelms you to the point of being a real ASSHOLE.I am sure you remember the old adage “if you can’t say nothing nice then don’t say nothing at all” I am not Bloging so I could become some “comment whore” in fact like I said I could really give a shit if you read this or not. If you don’t like the content of a post or even the grammatical use by the writer then you can always hit the button on the upper right side and move your pathetic self righteous ass along.

I've been wrong on Terri Shiavo
Is it to late to say that I changed my mind... I guess not because it's my blog. One thing I really hate in the game of politics is the whole idea that once you choose sides it appears that is the side you choose for life. Now don't get me wrong their is a big difference between sticking out your finger and seeing which way the wind blows or taking a field pole and changing your believe our views to accommodate the breeze or the results of the "sampled few"; or growing and changing your believes whether it through an apithamy or new information.First of all I have serious doubts in the free thinking ability of any individual that will agree with his/her chosen political affiliation 100% of the time. So the whole concept of the two partys is basically picking the lesser of two evils. Considering they both have one hand reached out to shake your hand and the other reaching out to stab you in the back at the first chance they get I figure "the lesser of two evils" is being a bit polite.I would most align myself with the libertarian philosophy although I would be the first to say that they are dead wrong on national security. But I do agree with them whole heartedly on the concept that the government does not belong in your bedroom, marriage, education, and they have no business determining or forcing their idea of health care on to an individual."Wait a minute MrV that contradicts what you said the other day in your post about Terri Shiavo the other day" yes it does but I have been giving it a bit of thought and doing a bit more reading on the whole thing and think that perhaps I originally made somewhat of an uniformed and maybe just a passionate decision.First of all I am beginning to see the "right to life" movement has taken her situation and perverted it into their own grandiose view to make a point."Why do you now say that MrV"...well it is quite simple after a bit of research I fully believe that Terri is in PVS. No cure, no further recovery is possible. The natural history of this disease process is death. As early as 50 years ago, she would have died. As of now, our medical abilities have progressed to the point where we can only prolong her life. This is done primarily by feedings through a tube inserted into her stomach, but also includes prevention and treatment of infections, prevention of ulcers (an impossible task, Christopher Reeves died of an infected ulcer, despite the best medical care), and prevention of blood clot formation in the legs.Modern medicine can do these things, but we can do nothing for her underlying condition. There is nothing we can do to heal the neurons which died as a result of hypoxia. It is likely that our grandchildren will be unable to cure such a devastating condition, unless stem cells, or another new therapy, supersede their great promise. Her brain is dead, her cerebral cortex has deteriorate and basically liquidfied. She can not grow another one and it will not recover."But wait we have seen her move and react"... yes we have if we have watched the videos and seen her eyes roll and heard the incoherent babble. But those are just involuntary reactions such as a baby smile when in all reality it's just gas. Once again she is brain dead therefore without a brain or a central processor their can be no thought process, no desire, no wants. Their is nothing but a shell with a soul.As for congress and their involvement I am still torn on this because I do believe in the concept of life and I believe that life needs to be given every chance to prevail. But this situation has been going on for over ten years and nineteen different judges have all pretty much agreed with the husband. All of this on top of congress total ability to ignore the situation until the very last moment leads me to believe that a certain faction of our leadership is taking this very intment of situations and turning it into a political circus.I do not think that congress or the judicial system need to relegate this kink of family disputes however sad they may be. While I can sympathize with the parents 100% I do believe that the husband as a right to speak and provide for the wife. The very same right to lifers that use the Good Book to tout their moral agenda seem to forget about the scripture that says a man an woman will leave their parents to become one union....Yes I paraphrased. But more importantly her wishes are known although she never wrote them down (how many people in their 20's or 30's write down living wills?), I myself have no living will (mental note make living will). Her next of kin, her present husband, a man who refused blood money from various individuals to give up this responsibility (totaling over 11 million), states that her wishes in this situation would be this: no more medical therapy. Is it to hard to belief that at one time they may have had this discussion. I can only relate to the late night conversation over a glass of wine I have had with my wife ranging from dreams to death. While this whole situation is truly horrific to both side involved it appears that I may have been on the wrong side of the line for a time. Although their is no easy answer; more government interference is not he answer. This whole senero if anything should teach us all the importance of a living will. I fell for both the husband and the parents of Terri Shiavo but my distain for the right to lifers that have perverted her cause leads me to say that we all need to butt out of this very trying and difficult situation and let nature take it's corse.Yes it is a complete 180...It's time to let her soul be free and for us to butt out.

Hitting the Big Road
It's kind of hard not to get some preconceived notation that while you are in collage you will have some dream job awaiting you immediately upon graduating. But once out of the gate their is a slow let down, sort of like letting the air out of a small balloon. Then their is just a complete deflation and you bum around the house for a couple of days sort of "regrouping" the thought process. After some polishing up and a bit of rejuvenate I hit the pavement like a shiny new car willing to sell myself to anybody that will give me five minutes of their time. It was only a matter of a few days until I had cold called everybody within a 100 mile radius and heard the phrase "I'd love to hire you, but I just can't right now". After enough polite hand shakes and grins even saying thank you for your time all the while secretly thinking "eat shit fucktard", I decided I couldn't take it any more. Now hear I am in the middle of the fucking day blogging and surfing other blogs, when for the past two years I have been in school. In fact their is somewhat of a inadequate feeling knowing that I am capable to work but not working. In reality I guess I was fooling myself thinking that everybody out their would be waiting for me to finish school but it is somewhat disheartening. But I can only sit by and watch my bank account slowly drain without taking a pro active stance. So in a last ditch effort to gainfully seek some employment I am once again hitting the "big road".yes ladies and gentleman in wasn't all that long ago, just a couple of short years in fact, when I got a wild hair up my ass and quit my job as a Interstate logistical engineer (fancy name for truck driver) and went back to finish my degree. Now with my degree in hand I will once again strap the 18 wheeled horse and fire up the interstate.Obviously MrsV is none to happy with my decision. But the thought of another summer broke and held up hear at the house is enough to drive me fucking crazy.Besides a few days on the road each week will most assuredly give me some great material to blog about.

Murder is happening in Florida
Please pray for Terri Schindler-Schiavo, she is being murdered right now. In what is a sad cruel twist of fate people like the likes of Scott Peterson and any body else on death row will get a more humane and swift ending than Terri Shiavo. "Terri Schiavo has a right to die in peace," attorney George Felos said. Yes she does have that right but what she does not have is the right to die by starvation and dehydration. In this country death row inmates are given a more humane death that what she will receive. Hell the SPCA even gives unwanted cats and dogs and more dignified death than what this woman will receive. It is sad that we as a society have become engulfed with a pro-death attitude. The value and sanctity of life is slowly being diminished to mere issue of convince or timing. We placed a miniscule value on the most innocent among us and now we have set that same precedent for the weakest among us. Death with some form of dignity is one thing but what is happening in Florida is nothing short of cruel and torturouse. As I stated in a previous post it would be more humane to walk in and blast her face off with a shotgun.Iregardless of the fact that Teri is a vegetative state she is still alive and loved by a family that wants nothing more than to care for her and perhaps hope for a miracle. A miracle which could very well happen as we all remember the case involving Sarah Scantlin which happened just last month. She is on a feeding tube and a feeding tube only, she can breath on her own, she has brain activity, and her heart still beats on it's own. But more importantly she is living in a country which grants certain unailable rights bestowed by a creator...The right to LIFE, LIBERTY, and the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.But I guess that is only if your healthy ...

Henry Waxman is a Fucking Idiot!
"...During a hearing that lasted 11 1/4 hours, lawmakers questioned baseball's new drug-testing plan, including a provision allowing for fines instead of suspensions. A first offense could cost 10 days out of a six-month season, or perhaps a $10,000 fine..."What the fuck are you going to tell me the steroids has now become a threat a national security. Our congresional leaders have nothing better to do than grandstand in front of a bunch of reporters for 11 hours and threaten some meaningless legislation if baseball does not act or reform it's drug policy.Come on people is this what we elect congressional leadership for. Do we really want them legislating what goes in our sports. Face it baseball was dead dyeing and Mark McGwire and his heavy bat came and saved it back in 1998. Steroids or not if it was not for him and his home run battle with Sammy Sosa their would be no baseball as we know it.It just blows me away that Washington feels that they have step in and save us from the "evils of steroids". Our congressional leadership could not agree on how to make a decent peanut butter sandwich and now they are expected to come in and wipe all drugs from sports. Hell we all no what a bang up job the United States government did with the war on drugs.Yesterday was nothing more than political grandstanding. Henry Waxman is a complete idiot who was trying to come of as some grandiose prosecuter but in fact look like a fucking moron. I can't believe this is what we elect people to public office for."...All of the players offered condolences to the parents of two young baseball players who committed suicide after using steroids. The parents testified, too, along with medical experts who talked about the health risks of steroids. ``Players that are guilty of taking steroids are not only cheaters -- you are cowards,'' said Donald Hooton of Plano, Texas, whose son, Taylor, was 17 when he hanged himself in July 2003..." If parents want their kids to stay away form drugs then it is going to start with education at home. If we as parents are going to really on congress to purge the evils out of baseball and hope that will keep our kids drug free then we don't deserve to be having children.People get a fucking clue....

Make this one a double
My wife's eternal optimism is really beginning to piss me off. I am at a complete lose and I really have to fucken clue which way to go.It's been a rough few months that's a fucking understatements.I am still somewhat boggled by a company which lays people off right before Christmas, I am also a little perplexed by the phrase " Your a little over qualified" . What the fuck it's bull shit and it pissed me off.Optimism and faith are not my strong points. I really don't require much and I am not asking for a free ride but for fucks sake I just need the means in order to achieve my wants. I certainly don't want a free ride. This blog entry is starting to turn more into a pitty party than a journal entry and that is a small pet peeve of mine so fuck it I'm out.Bartender pour me another and make it a double....

You Won't Get me Again
Lat night I returned home from the barb after going out for a couple of beers to find a rather intriguing email in my inbox. It was from a gentleman by the name of Prince Phillipe of Nigeria, who had just inherited $250 million dollars from his late father, King Mugumbo. Mugumbo had apparently ruled the country for many years and was loved by all the people however there was a plot to assassinate him by evil rebel forces, which was why his only heir Prince Phillipe was writing to me. It seems that in order to ensure that the entire inheritance is preserved, he needed a trustworthy and reliable foreign partner who would assist him by using bank connections to transfer this money for investment in his country. My reward for this small effort was to be 10% or $25 million dollars as well as a ceremonial title. A very fair offer from clearly a man of great wealth and prestige. They had obviously heard of my generous and benevolent nature all the way over in Nigeria and had quickly realized I was the only individual who could help them in their hour of need. Being a man of action, I immediately sent the Prince my personal bank account number and a copy of my signature in order to get the process started.I had for many years, always kept a list of cool things I wanted to do if I ever won the lottery. You know, just normal stuff like quitting my job in style and telling the boss where to go , advising Mother what a meddling old hag she is and informing my lame ass friends what I really thought of them. Not to mention phoning my wife and daughter from the beach of some tropical island and informing them I went to get a pack of smokes and would not be returning. Well now was finally my chance. Prince Phillipe has given me this rare & golden opportunity and I must seize the moment. No waiting for his cheque to clear, I quickly put my "Things To Do" list in motion.A few days elapsed and I had noticed that my bank balance still did not reflect my $25 million dollar credit and in fact, my meagre balance of $12.82 had now vanished. Although suspicious, I stayed calm by thinking happy thoughts such as how grateful the people of Nigeria would be to me for assisting Prince Phillipe in helping his country out of debt and into the modern world. I imagined that they would probably in short time be offering me a high ranking government position as well as jewels, servants and a lot of scantily clad female attendants to wait on my every need. Prince Phillipe would certainly want his saviour close at hand. Two days later I was abruptly brought back down to earth when I was visited by a member of our local police fraud unit. Apparently this entire email and $25 million dollar thing was an elaborate hoax. There was no Prince Phillipe, no dead King Mugumbo and most importantly, no money. I never saw that coming. Slowly reality set in and I realized that I must "undo" a great number of things I had already accomplished on that damn "Things To Do" list. This was not good. My first visit was to the office to sit down with my boss to ask for my old job back. I knew that this was not going to be easy. After explaining my embarrassing little situation to my boss, she stared at me coldly for about a minute and finally began preaching to me about my earlier resignation. She stated it was not what I said but how I had said it. If she had come into a large amount of money she too would have probably quit her job, she could accept that. However, she claimed that she did "not appreciate the large flaming pile of dog shit I left on her desk along with my hateful and vulgar letter of resignation". After listening to her badgering and harping on her soapbox, she reluctantly gave me my job back with a minor concession on my part. The month suspension from work gave me a chance to do some fence-mending with my family who also seemed to take my comments and life far too seriously. I spent the entire day over at Mothers trying to explain that the stripper Brandy, who I had hired and brought over the evening before, was not in fact going to be her new daughter in law after all, and it was all simply a big misunderstanding. I also retracted my statement that night about putting her away in a high security nursing home with bars on the windows and barbed wire enclosing the grounds. After listening to her monotone chiding and endless scolding I reluctantly nodded my head when she asked if I had learnt a valuable lesson in all of this.Actually in truth, I have looked back over this situation 100 different ways and cannot see any lesson in it at all, or even 1 thing I would do differently if the same set of circumstances presented itself again, but I kept that little secret to myself. If I have learned anything in life it is that old people like you to agree with them so I just continued to repeat the phrase "Yes, Mother" over and over in response to her many pointless questions and comments. My wife, on the other hand, was somewhat more of a difficult situation to resolve. The head nurse at the hospital had advised that she could no longer be agitated and should stay away from all boisterous and chaotic situations. She said my wife was very fortunate to have such a "good and loving husband" who would surely help in her recovery once she was released by the attending physician. She asked if I knew anything in particular as to what brought on all this anxiety and excitement in her but I couldn't think of anything specific which would have caused it.I mean Mom seemed fine after my mild tirade over the money and even after Brandy performed that bizarre lewd act in her front room involving the "rabbit ears" from their television. Of course I think Mom's mind is not what it once was, as she tends to forgets stuff. I just looked at the nurse and muttered that I had no idea what could have brought on my wifes anxiaty attacks. "It was probably something she saw on TV", I speculated. The investigating officer seemed less sympathetic to my dilemma and asked why I had sent my bank account number to someone who was a complete stranger that had contacted me anonymously through a generic Hotmail account. Clearly this damn civic employee had no real understanding on how big business and e-commerce operated and I was in no mood to explain to him the facts of life. The officer went on to say that this was so blatantly a fraud even a small five year old boy could see through the cheap con game. I curtly informed the officer that I was in fact, not a five year old boy and I did not own one either. The only five year old boy I know is my nephew and we are currently not on speaking terms ever since he swindled me out of $20.00 on some grandiose Pokeman trading card scam. He just shook his head and walked off saying something like "it takes all kinds".So here I sit, out $12.82, not working for a month but overall really none the wiser. The only positive thing that has occurred since then is that I was anonymously selected to enter the Ethiopian National Lottery and the odds of winning are amazing - 1 to 1, stated the email that I received. And once I win the that grand prize, I will put my "Things To Do" list back in motion.

Adious Danny Boy!!!
So the day of departure is finally hear Mr. Arrogant himself, the guy who is the poster child of media bias, and the poster child that says, “I shoulda left a long time ago”, Mr. Dan Rather! It couldn’t come a day too soon, as we say goodbye to Dan Rather as he leaves the anchor chair at CBS, after almost a quarter of a century. That is almost 25 years too long as far as I am concerned. What speaks volumes about the sheer unpopularity of Dan Rather is when you hear from those in the public circle that speak about him.On Sunday, March 6th, Donald Trump said that he'd fire CBS News anchorman Dan Rather if he had the chance. "I would have fired him a long time ago," Trump told "Fox News Sunday." "I would have said, 'Dan, you're fired.'"Trump pulled no punches and continued, "I'm not a big fan of Dan Rather. I don't want to be a fan of Dan Rather. I don't think he's good at the news. I don't think a lot of people think he's good at the news. He was always highly overrated."Of the Memogate scandal that precipitated Rather's departure on Wednesday March 9th, from the anchor chair at the "CBS Evening News," Trump said, "It was disgusting the way it was handled by Dan Rather. And I don't know why they're firing other people - he was the head of it. So why aren't they firing Dan Rather?"Also jumping on the “Kick Dan While He is Down Party” is Walter Cronkite. Cronkite who was, Dan Rather's predecessor at the "CBS Evening News," said Monday that Rather's replacement by Bob Schieffer was overdue. Bob Schieffer was scheduled to replace Rather until CBS finds a permanent replacement. Cronkite continued "Although Dan did a fine job, I would have liked to have seen (Schieffer) there a long time ago," Cronkite said during an interview on CNN. "He would have given the others a real run for their money." Cronkite said it was a tribute to Rather that he held on so long."It surprised quite a few people at CBS and elsewhere that, without being able to pull up the ratings beyond third in a three-man field, that they tolerated his being there for so long," he told CNN.That a boy Walter, kick old Danny Boy while he is down. Rather has made it a career for trying to “Be The News” instead of “Report The News” and well, turn about is fair play. When you walk over people on the way up the career path, and don’t say excuse me, you are bound to get lots of kicks in the ass, when you fall down, and you Mr. Rather, have fallen down from whatever small throne that you perched yourself upon.Good riddance and I look forward to being able to surf over to CBS now and see what kind of news they will report after your carcass is swept off of the floor."CBS News is not prepared to reveal its confidential sources or the method by which 60 MINUTES Wednesday received the documentsBob would have been proudOn this occasion, I am not going to mention the number of the infidels who were killed and the number of destroyed vehicles. The operation continues.

Ward Churchill...Free Speech or Hate Speech?
By now I'm sure everyone has heard about Ward Churchill and the statements he made. For those of you who haven't followed the news on him you can read a brief news article on him here.Churchill in defense of asserting that the victims of September 11th were not innocent compared them to "little Eichmanns." That's right He compared them to Nazi war criminal Adolph Eichmann. It was told by a fellow Nazi that Eichmann once said "he would leap laughing into the grave because the feeling that he had five million people on his conscience would be for him a source of extraordinary satisfaction."Now what gets me the most about this man is the fact that he is a collage professor whom I have no doubt uses his position in the classroom to further his political beliefs. He like many other narrow minded idiots will stand hear "on American soil" and advocate the over throw of the very government that gives them the right to speak. But is he just a pontificater of the anti American lingo, or maybe just a part of that group mentality? Now before I go any further let me say one thing, dissent is good and this country was founded on dissent but where do you draw the line when it comes to dissent and out right hate speech.? If Ward Churchill was a staunch conservative spewing forth the belief that we need to get them "dune coons" and democracize them because we know what's best for them would we have even heard about him?Is this man afforded the right to speak his view to a far left fridge and a narrow audience or should he be somehow censured and forced to keep quite. Where do we draw the line? What is "fee speech" and what is "hate speech"? What actions should the university of Colorado take in regard to his comments if any?Everyone is entitled to free speech, as long as it does not do physical harm to other people. Like the old example you can't walk into a movie theater and shout "Fire". But can you spout off various forms of retorich, violent suggestions, and out right hurtful comments as long as they don't physically hurt an individual? I would tend say yes, that may seem strange but if you think about it we are all guilty of it one time or another; although it's usually done under the "pack mentality" in "anger" or perhaps under the influence of "liquid courage".There is the faction that believe that Ward Churchill should face criminal charges under US CODE: Title 18 Part1 Chapter115 Section 2385 for advocating the over throw of the government. Personally I believe this a narrow look at the Us Code and is not what it was intended for, to start down the road of prosecuting American Citizens for their personal beliefs is the first step toward Nazism. Who has not at one time or another been disgusted in their government and perhaps voiced their disgust in such a way that could be misinterpreted?Ultimately if Ward Churchill is fired or punished for his remarks it will no doubt be censorship. Which may or may no be exactly what he wants to further his cause and base. His ideas are no doubt shared by others and are by now entrenched in the university curriculum and cannot be stamped out by firing any one individual. In typical right wing form, the far right has lambasted Ward Churchill and in many cases are the ones calling for his termination from the university and in some cases his prosecution. Ironically it is the Consveritive movement who is usually crying foul when it comes to censorship and touts the rights of "free speech" to all, more than the opposition party. Which leaves me to wonder why isn't the conservative movement defending Ward Churchill right to say what he wants; regardless of what he says. I guesss free speech is only worth deffending when it's pro Republicain.Free speech gives you the right to speak but it does not give you the right to be heard. If don't like what the individual has to say then don't listen. By giving Ward Churchill the notoriety that he has gained by spouting his retorich we have advanced his standing on the far left fringe. We have giving him some sort of credibilty among the people that share his believes. Like the old saying goes any publicity is good publicity. If you want Ward Churchill gone then leave him alone.

Martha, Martha, Martha!!!!!!!
As I may have previously mentioned, I like to watch Fox news channel, and the news in general. I was tired of hearing about it, but could somewhat understand, when they were constantly talking about Martha Stewart's trial, and wondering if she'd be convicted, etc, etc... I could understand when they announced that she would be released, though I personally didn't consider it to be that newsworthy.I was surprised when they had live coverage, waiting for her to come from the gate of the prison...But for crying out loud!!!! Now they're having reports that are like "Look, Martha is still out of prison... Look, Martha is still under house arrest... What is Martha doing now that she's under house arrest?... Look, she walked her dog..." Jesus FUCKING Christ people!!!!! She wasn't interesting when she was folding napkins; why would she be interesting petting a horse?!!! Not to mention is this really news?So here's my plan: as a popular blogger, with a massive audience of one or two people, I'm going to use my influence to get a message across to the media...Alright, Media!Listen up!... Think of something more interesting to talk about!!!!I'd rather hear about the pope, and I'm not even Catholic! (I can't believe I just said that)The only person I've been this tired of hearing about was Monica Lewinski!By the way what is she up to now????????

Why are We Waiting to Reform Social Security?
Social Security has to be reformed. There are no other options except reform. The status quo will lead to a full collapse of the system. I'm surprised (not really) at how vehement liberals get about the possibility of change. They squawk so much about how evil and corrupt America is, how big money is tainting our government, how we can't trust the authority people in power (except themselves of course), yet they then tell us that placing our social security tax into a general fund that can be raided by the government is the best thing for us, the little person? Do they think we're stupid? Apparently so, the left is the party of Pro-choice but are we given a choice of how to save for our retirement?Given the choice of putting my money into a personal retirement account that is mine and mine alone and that I can then pass onto my children or putting it into a pool of money that the government then uses for other pet projects and says I can't will to my next of kin if I die before retirement, why would I EVER want to choose the latter, complete government control of my retirement fund? When is the government more efficient than the free market especially when it comes to investing? Not only that, but America is BEHIND the rest of the world on this. I read the following at the National Center for Policy Analysis:Currently, some 80 million workers in 20 countries have access to personal retirement accounts. These countries include Chile, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, Uruguay, Australia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Poland, Latvia, Sweden, Hong Kong, El Salvador and Croatia (roughly in the order in which they adopted the plans). Macedonia, the Dominican Republic, Kosovo and even China have passed reform laws, which they are now in the process of implementing. Other countries are moving in that direction. Interestingly, the United States is not yet...."Bush has proposed allowing younger workers to divert some of their Social Security payroll taxes into private accounts that could be invested in stocks and bonds. In exchange, people who take the deal would see their traditional government benefit cut, with total benefits determined by the success of each personal account"...Simple logic and a simple plan, I don't see what the problem is hear. Bill Clinton as a president decided that Social Security is in need of radical reform and looked into the possibility of setting up investment accounts so people can set aside a small portion of their money in a personal account; ok so Bush and Clinton are on the same page...so much for social security reform being a partisan issue so what is the problem. The problem is that instead of talking the talk as Clinton did Bush is proposing a real and viable fix. Why is it all through the 90's we had to reform social security and now that we have a Reblicain in office willing to do something the problem has suddenly went away. Partisan politics aside lets do something for the betterment of future generations.

I can't think of a clever title
So I drove for six fucking hours yesterday (round trip) for a job interview. The job is actually pretty good and I would enjoy doing and probably would excel quite well. But their are two small problems, one being it's not the exact job I want (but I could overlook that) and the other is I seriously doubt I could afford to take the position. But hell worse case I blew 65 bucks in gas and drove all day for nothing. At least the seenery was good and the iPOD spit out a butt load of great songs.I think I am going to back off the whole job interview thing until after my FAA exams. Maybe it's not a great idea but it's my life so fuck it, I have always been pretty linear in what I want to achieve anyway.School is just about officially done and everybody is partaking in the usual "Let's keep in touch", "give me your contact info" bull shit, feel good conversations. In all reality with two exceptions I am so glad I do not have to see these fucktards ever again. The lovely and gracious MrsV buys those Cosmopolitan magazines on a fairly regular biases, in fact she may have a subscription. But now that I think of it their are sever different magazines that she gets that are very much like Cosmo, but any magazine that has at least 2 articles on sex every month is fine by me. Occasionally I'll pick up one of the lovely and gracious MrsV Cosmos (Cosmos is my favorite) while I'm in the bathroom and read about what I'm "really thinking after sex". That shit makes me laugh. In typical woman/cosmo fashion magazine they overanalyze the simple which is more often than not men. But it is usually pant load of Bull Shit because I can speak for myself and I am sure most men would conquer, to summarize a years worth of cosmo article men (at least me), think about 3 things after sex.1. Holy shit (if it was good)2. Sleep (if it was not) or:3. FoodBut that's just me and I doubt Cosmo will be beating down the door any time soon to offer me a writing job.I got a Bow Flex the other day thanks to "Old Man Bellar" . So just in a mere six weeks time I am going to transform from a slightly over weight half ass musician into a lean mean "Sex machine". At the very least I will have a great piece of exercise equipment to hang laundry from. Seriously I am glad to have gotten one, I used run 25 miles a week right up until before the holidays when life and school begin to get over welming and took over in priority's. But I miss the feeling so I am looking forward to working out again, but I am waiting for the boxes in the the garage to magically put themselves together. If that does not happen soon I will have to break down and put it together myself this weekend

Legalized murder in Florida?
So I was asked the other day where I stood on this situation in Florida with Terry Shiavo. This is a sticky situation and I am not sure my small insignificant opinion will matter much on the whole scheme of things. But I think if we as a society allow this woman's feeding tube to be pulled out we will be setting a dangerous precedent that we may soon regret. If you accept the position of the eugenics crowd, and the position of her husband, they want her dead because she would not want to "suffer." They propose starving her to death because it is humane. Can anyone explain why we, as a society, will not just walk in and shoot Terry in the face with a shotgun? That would certainly be much more "humane" than allowing her to slowly and painfully starve to death for 6 to 15 days.If that's too extreme to grasp, how about a lethal injection? What's wrong with that? How can anyone legitimately argue that allowing someone to die slowly and painfully over a two-week period is better, more dignified, or more humane than a simple lethal injection? Why is it more “humane” to slowly and very painfully kill someone than to kill them quickly? Stop and think for a second people we give murders and serial killers a more humane death as a punishment than what we are will to give Terry. Not to mention our dogs and cats; yes our dogs and cat's. Visit a local human society and you will find that we do not starve our gods to death when society has no want for them we give the a very quick and painless death with a lethal injection. So I guess my position on this whole thing Terry Shiavo is unless her husband or doctor is going to walk in and blast her face off with a shotgun or at the very least give her a lethal injection then by all means its a fucken no brainier. The constitution gives everybody "regardless of vegetative state" the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Are we as a nation willing to start the predidnet of killing (harsh word but it is reality) the sick, weak and elder. Already in this country you can kill a living baby right up until the day before it is born, are we going to take that to the next level and kill off those in a vegetative state because they are a drain on the reaming family.the simple fact is I believe some people have gotten confused with the concept of being on life support and being on a feeding tube. Terry Schiavo is not dying. She is not being kept alive artificially. Her heart beats and lungs breathe without help. She cannot swallow food or water. Once the feeding tube is removed, she would slowly starve to death over days or weeks. Schiavo is not comatose. Her eyes open, and she sometimes responds to stimuli. If Schiavo merely required spoon feeding instead of tube feeding, would anyone seriously be arguing to withhold food and water? Does not every human, no matter how incapacitated, deserve sustenance?
